
Dr. Singri was born and raised in Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University and completed his medical training at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. After an internship at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center, he completed a two-year research fellowship at Northwestern University investigating therapies in the treatment of skin diseases such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, cutaneous lymphoma, vitiligo, and actinic keratosis (“precancers”). He completed his dermatology residency at the Department of Dermatology at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. After working at Northwestern for 7 years with a special interest in psoriasis and inflammatory diseases, he turned to focusing his efforts in Schaumburg full time. He continues to be a member of the faculty at Northwestern. He also continues to be involved in clinical trials research here in Schaumburg, investigating promising therapies for skin diseases. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Singri and his family are proud supporters and volunteers at Kids Against Hunger – Fox Valley. They are an annual corporate sponsor for the Race to End Hunger 5K
They also annually contribute to the American Heart Association, March of Dimes, and multiple other service organizations

Nimisha Singri, MD

Sarah Mahoney, MMS, PA-C

Sarah is a board certified and licensed Physician Assistant practicing medical and surgical dermatology. Sarah grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (Summa Cum Laude) at Denison University in Ohio in 2005. She earned her Master of Medical Science degree (MMS) in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in 2008. She then worked as a family practice PA for three years, which provided her with a strong foundation in general medicine before transitioning into dermatology.
Sarah joined the Schaumburg Dermatology team in 2012. Her primary goal is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Sarah enjoys treating common skin ailments such as acne, warts, and psoriasis to more complex autoimmune and inflammatory skin disorders. Another area of clinical interest is in early detection of skin cancers by performing general skin examinations. Sarah routinely does skin biopsies and surgical procedures, including treatment of skin cancers. Sarah speaks conversational Spanish.
Sarah is an active member of the National Psoriasis Foundation, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (ISDPA).
In her free time, Sarah enjoys working out, cooking, spending time with her family, and staying actively involved in her church. She is also passionate about a non-profit farm she co-founded in Uganda, Africa.
Sonal V. Patel, MMS, PA-C

Sonal was born in Chicago, raised in Schaumburg, Illinois and attended James B.Conant High School. She received her undergraduate degree with Honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Medical Technology. She then went on to complete a Master of Medical Science degree (MMS) in Physician Assistant Studies at Cornell University Medical School’s Surgically Focused Physician Assistant Program in New York City. Sonal has been a Physician Assistant since 2002 and started her career in surgery doing cardiothoracic and vascular surgery for a majority of her career and neurosurgery for over 10 years. She also worked at a mesotherapy clinic learning techniques in weight and cellulite reduction. Sonal has a very strong interest in surgical, medical and aesthetic dermatology.
She joined Schaumburg Dermatology in 2016, but prior to this, she has been a patient at the clinic for many years. She considers herself fortunate to have had an excellent doctor, mentor, and leader in Dr. Prashant Singri. She is also delighted to be able to serve in the community in which she grew up.
Sonal’s medical interests include acne, warts, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer treatment and surgical procedures.
She also enjoys travel, fitness, yoga, meditation and spending time with her big Indian family especially her two daughters. Sonal is fluent in speaking Gujarati and speaks conversational Hindi and Spanish.
